professional paint finishes and murals

Britta Hansen is a specialist painter with over 25 years of experience messing around, trying new paint techniqies, and creating fun and unique designs on walls, textiles, furniture, floors, ceilings, interior or exterior surfaces. She loves problem solving, figuring out the best way to achieve a certain finish, working with designers, architects or directly with a client, watching a project evolve from an idea to a finished, polished product.
Britta was born in Galt, Ontario, in 1969 to immigrant parents from Denmark and grew up in British Columbia. After completeing her BFA Honours degree in Silkscreen and Lithography in 1991 at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, she moved to Dublin, Ireland and worked with local artists learning the trade of mural painting and various wall finishes all over Ireland and England, in pubs, restaurants and cafes.
Currently, Britta lives in Montreal working out of her converted shipping container studio in her backyard, which is always full of projects on the go, ideas waiting to be started and lots and lots of paint. Lately she has been passionately exploring and working with sustainable and ecological mineral based paints, being inspired by the beautiful Fresco,  Marrakech and Tedelakt like finishes that can be achieved.
